How Many Survey Invitations Should You Expect Per Week: 1 – 30 (Generally, you’ll see at least one general invite in your inbox everyday. But saying that does not means you’ll get any points.)

How Long Does It Take To Collect A Reward Or Cash Out: About half a months to 1 year. Doing all the surveys sent to you in full. It really does depend on your level of engagement and interest in Opinion Outpost.

(Sometimes it can take a lot longer, Depending on how much you want before you claim your reward or cash out) –Example $50.00 or $100

Do They Spam You: No

Overall Rating: 4 out of 5Opinion Outpost seems to have smoothed out most of it’s rough edges. Most of the issues that plagued it during my last few review are not completely gone. They still have been some major hindrances in the overall difficulty of the surveys and qualifying for the rewards. I have often found myself in mid-survey. When I am kicked or glitch-ed out for no reason (What So Ever). I don’t even get the screen. That asks me if I want to try for an Instant Prize/Donate/ or Leave.

That is honestly a really rather sad situation. When we put in the time and effort into said survey. And are receiving ABSOLUTELY nothing in return, other then the run around or just really rather lame excuses why it is our fault. That to me is just unacceptable in every respect.

On a lighter more positive note. I find there are way more surveys to do around 5 a day (In most respects). I still get glitched up in some cases or get kicked out like I mentioned above. But overall OO deserves some solid praise for their work on cleaning up the site of glitches. This survey site still remains in my top 3 survey sites and that says a lot. If you follow my overall-y tough reviews. Which you can find on our main reviews -page-.

————————————

Extra Important Information: You must complete your full survey site profile as well as update it at least once a year. To continue to receive your survey invites from Opinion Outpost. If you fail to do so, Opinion Outpost will just stop sending you survey invites to you without any warning at all.

Nexus Media Importer (8.4.3) – Paidware Android App Review

April 27, 2016

Nexus Media Importer (8.4.3)

Tested On: Asus Nexus 7 (2013) (Model: ME37OT) with Android Lollipop (V5.1.1) Installed.

Cost Of App: $2.98 CAD (Google Play App Store)

Cost Of 100% (Necessary) USB OTG Cable: Which can run you anywhere from $1.99 CAD/USD to $20.00 CAD/USD. It all depends on which type of plating you go for. You can get a basic model with just a non-coated steel metal connector. And by the way that is basic steel for both ends the min-USB (AKA. Male End of the connector) and the Max-y USB (AKA. Female End of the connector). Or you can go all the way to the gold or platinum plated connectors. Now just because you go all expensive on your USB OTG cable. Does not guarantee the best fit for your device.

Now, I say this as I have bought 4 of these very handy USB OTG cables and have had very mixed results. The platinum or very high end connector actually fit my device on the very low end of the 4 I bought.

Now, I have to point out. I went very OCD (Obsessive Compulsive Disorder) here. I wanted the best fit regardless of the price tag. So, I went to my local computer store and asked for the top of the line USB OTG cable they had in stock. That would work with my Nexus 7. So after paying close to $20 CAD. I came back home and tested it out and it was a poor fit. The best fit was the the gold plated one from Amazon.ca. That cost me $6.99 CAD with free shipping. The second best fit was an eBay buy for $3.99 USD also with free shipping. Oddly, enough it did not mention a lot about the type of metal the connectors were plated with. But, if I were to guess with the price point and magnet test. I ran. (Please don’t run any magnet tests on anything electronic or tech related. You may in fact damage or alter your device. You may even render said device or devices unusable) It is just very common steel alloy mixture or perhaps pure steel. It was not a perfect fit. But better then the so called top end platinum USB OTG cable. At least in my experience. Some cables will be more still and other a little looser. Just don’t force it, nor should you leave the connector on while you are not using your tablet.

App Description: (See Below)

Nexus Media Importer allows you to stream and transfer music, video, photos and documents from a USB flash drive or card reader connected to your Nexus 5, Nexus 7 (G1 & G2), Nexus 10, Moto X, Galaxy Nexus, Xoom or other Android 4.0+ devices with USB Host support. See technical notes for a list of supported file types and file systems. If you have the Nexus 7 2013 or Nexus 10, make sure you update to Android 4.4+ to avoid problems.

1. An Android 4.0+ device. Known compatible devices include the Google Galaxy Nexus, Nexus 7 & 10 and the Motorola Xoom. Please try the free “Nexus Photo Viewer” first if you do not have one of these devices. Due to hardware limitations, the Nexus 4 is not supported.

2. An USB OTG (On-The-Go) cable. Costs range from $1-10 USD

3. An USB Flash Drive or USB Card Reader with a flash memory card inserted. Please see the FAQ on our website if you are trying to connect an external hard drive or other device.

To use:

-If you are using an card reader, put the flash memory card in the reader first.

-Attach your USB device to the OTG cable.

-Attach the OTG cable to the Nexus or other device.

-The application should launch automatically.

-Photos can be browsed by selecting from the list then swiping back and forth.

-Videos can be streamed with the Play icon.

-The Advanced tab can be used to manage and transfer files.

-Use the Connect screen to determine the viewed device and the destination device for the Copy/Move operations.

———————-

IMPORTANT: To use NMI offline, you will have to activate the license by opening it online after installing.

———————-

Are there in App ads ?: No

A. Ease Of Use: 4.5/5 – Very easy to use once you get use to it.

B. Security: There is the possibility of importing viruses and or other software / files that may in fact damage your device. So caution is advised when trying to important unknown files or software to your Nexus device(s).

C. Usefulness: 4/5 – Very useful. It is an ever expanding application as each new update hits. You can now upgrade your previously non-upgrade-able “Nexus 7 32 Gig Wi-fi version G1 or G2 (Generation 1 or 2).” I still find that running TV shows and or movies off of a USB flash stick or a USB external hard drive. It does tend to skip and buffer like crazy. But if you decide to transfer it to your device and run it off of that. Then you are way more likely to have a buffer free experience.

D. Tablet Slowdown: No slow down, that I noticed.

E. Type Of User I Would Recommend To Use This App: Anyone who wants to drastically increase the usefulness of their Nexus device(s). Will find this app not only useful but needed.

VIP Voice – Survey Site Review (April 2016)

April 25, 2016

Name: VIP Voice (Formally known as NPD Online Research Panel)

Link: http://www.vipvoice.com/Toluna.MR.TrafficUI/MSCUI/Page.aspx?pgtid=1&utcoffset=4

Who Is Eligible To Participate: Canadian & US Residence Only

Type of Award Or Payment: Sweepstakes And Auction House

Points or Cash Normally Earned Per Survey: 0 – 100 points

Sign-Up Time: Fairly Short

How Many Survey Invitations Should You Expect Per Week: 0 – 30

How Long Does It Take To Collect A Reward Or Cash Out: A really long time, if you want anything good.

Do They Spam You: No

Overall Rating: 1.5 out of 5 – Still not worth your time or effort. So still a really STRONG NO on my part. But the site has improved in quality since my last review. They really seem to be upping the number of survey invites and community related activities with the promise of (25 x $25) dollar gift card give-a-ways for Visa and Amazon.

It peeks my interest, but I’m not into the whole be a part of a community and do community activity’s thing. In the end for me it just takes to much of my time. But if you do have the time and are willing to put in the effort. My score would easily go up to a solid 2.5 out of 5. And I imagine in a years time that could easily go upwards to a 3 or even 3.5.
