Should I upgrade to Windows 10 ?

Remy’s Reply: Well first off it depends on if your happy with your current operating system. I have a hard time recommending Win 10 to those of us who have an already perfectly stable Win 7. But if we are talking about Win 8 or 8.1 I would seriously consider it as it is way better then Win 8 or 8.1. Regardless you will have a learning curve if you do decide to upgrade.

Erin’s Reply: Luckily I have 2 Laptops. So I can have both Win 7 and Windows 10. I’m upgrading my Win 8.1 just in case you were wondering.

Matt’s Reply: My answer to that is, is depends on what you use your computer for. If it’s just for general web-browsing,, downloading, watching live TV, for work or school projects, then upgrading to Windows 10 won’t be any disadvantage to you in the long run as it improves over everything included in either Windows 7 or Windows 8/8.1, barring from a few program incompatibilities.

On the other hand, if you use your PC/Laptop for gaming purposes, then Windows 10 has it’s ups and downs. The positives are that it’ll support all future releases, and comes with Direct X 12, which isn’t coming to Windows 7/8/8.1, but at the same time, some older games, which use DRM, like SecuRom, including Grand Theft Auto III, won’t work on Windows 10, but do work on Windows 7/8/8.1.

Luckily most older games have had re-releases in digital form on online stores such as Steam and GOG with the DRM features removed, so that they’ll run on Windows 10. Unfortunately though, not every older game has been digitally re-released on Steam or GOG yet, and means that the only way to play these games is to own a PC/Laptop running Windows 7/8/8.1.

Danny’s Reply: For me it is still up in the air. Right now I don’t trust the new Windows 10 to be a better alternative to Windows 8.1. Even though all the reviews seem very favourable.
