What Does The Short Form “EST” Stand For ?

EST or Eastern Standard Time – is shared by parts of Canada, 17 states in the eastern part of the Continental United States, and three countries in South America. These places use Eastern Standard Time (EST) when observing standard time (autumn/winter), and Eastern Daylight Time (EDT) when observing daylight saving time (spring/summer).
