New Mozilla FireFox 4.0 Beta 7 Is Now Available To Download

Dear Readers,

It appears that Mozilla FireFox has a new 4.0 Beta 7 version available to download in a ton of different languages to suit you taste and background.

** I personally have not downloaded this new beta version as of yet. But a few of our members plan too.

So I can’t say I would recommend it because it is still in the Beta stage. But if you do give it a whirl by all means let us know what you think and I’ll post it..

1. Ease Of Use – One of the easiest straight to the point programs. I have ever reviewed.

1A. Interface - Very clean and old school looking. With 5 very simple one click buttons/Icons activations.

2. Quality Of Scan – Super fast and super accurate. No matter what scan options you are using.

3. Updating – Incredibly Fast (Does require rebooting your PC on the very rare occasion. When there is a core produced update)

4. Can You Run Other Programs While Running A Scans ? Yes

4A. Can You Run Programs During The Update Process ? Yes

5. Is There A Progress Bar Or % Done ? No not as of yet (But I predict we will see something in the upcoming 5.0 build)

6. Can You Leave SUPERAntiSpyware Running. With Little Or No Issue ? Yes, you can. But on the very rare occasion SUPERAntiSpyware will require you to reboot your PC. In order to remove some of the more difficult malware, spyware, adware and or cookies on your computer (No longer as big of an issues as past versions of SUPERAntiSpyware)

7. Is There Any Adware Or Spyware Bundled With SUPERAntiSpyware ? Absolutely not

8. Is SUPERAntiSpyware Stable ? Yes, 100%

SUPERAntiSpyware (4.45) Free Edition – Freeware Review

(Last Updated Nov 11, 2010 @ 2:50 pm EST) minor format fix

Pro’s

- It’s 100% free

- Very small installation file (Only 9.26MB)

- Very simple to use

- Very stable

- Overall detection rate has vastly improved since the (4.40) version of SuperAntiSpyware

- Has way less limitations then most other freeware versions

- Way better then it’s other freeware competition

- Very simple interface with 5 easy to use one press buttons

- Very light on resources (Both Ram and CPU) Under 50% after between 1 to 5 mins after start up of scan

- Really fast and accurate scanning

- Very quick updating when you press the check for updates button

- Internet Explorer Browser Hi-Jack Protection

Con’s

- No automatic updating

- No real time protection

- No Mozilla FireFox browser support (But there is no doubt in my mind there will be in the up coming 5.0 version of SUPERAntiSpyware)

- Can’t use the scan scheduler

-  On the very rare occasion SUPERAntiSpyware will require you to reboot your PC. In order to remove some of the more difficult malware, spyware, adware and or cookies on your computer (No longer as big of an issues as past versions of SUPERAntiSpyware)

Overall I give SUPERAntiSpyware Free Edition a 4 out of 5 – SUPERAntiSpyware is very very effective even in it’s freeware version package. You are not choked with too many stupid software limitations like many other freeware programs out there. You can still update SUPERAntiSpyware and you can still use its different scan options (minus of course the scan scheduler option). The only 2 very minor downsides are that you have to manually scan and manually update SuperAntiSpyware yourself.

SpeedFan (4.42) – Freeware Review

Dear Readers,

Here is my full freeware review for SpeedFan (4.42)

1. What Does SpeedFan Do ? SpeedFan monitors your CPU, Mother Board,  Hard-drives and internal fans and gives you an easy to use temperature read out. Both in your system tray and your Vista / Win 7 sidebar (If you have it running) with the correct up to date widget. So you can tell how hot your computer is running and to prevent any possible damage. As well as improve your overall system performance.

2. Ease Of Use – SpeedFan is very easy to use because all you need to do is install it and you are ready to go. In most cases SpeedFan will auto-detect most CPU’s, Motherboards and even your Graphics Cards. There has not been any computer I have installed it on that did not detect all or most of the internal components.

3. Interface - Very simple SpeedFan has a few easy to use tabs and that is pretty much it. SpeedFan is by no means fancy, but that is how I like it. Simple and to the point with no pointless filler. Dragging it down.

4. Can you leave it running and it will run with out issue ? Yes, you can no doubt

5. Is There Adware Or Spyware Bundled With SpeedFan ? A big no

6. Is SpeedFan  Stable ? Very stable

I give SpeedFan an Overall Rating of 4 out of 5 – This new version seems to have much better database of CPU’s , Motherboards and Graphics cards to detect from. SpeedFan again seems to load a little faster then the (4.41) version if that is even possible. There is still a few things, I really would like to see in future versions of SpeedFan. And that would be the ability to have SpeedFan load up during computer start-up. And the ability to check for updates and for them get to fixing the still overly dark SpeedFan desktop icon.
