Dear Readers,
Now You Can Follow The Computer Savvy Weblog Via Twitter: http://twitter.com/Computer_Savvy
Ok, just to catch everyone up last week in my Scam Watch feature called Scam Watch: Tips To Keep Your Windows Live Messenger Free From Hacker. I talked about a huge increase in bot attacks on everyday users of Windows Live Messenger (Instant Messenger program)
Now I unfortunately have to say it has gotten so bad that my whole crew of 26 people, that would include myself as well. Have been getting attacked up to 3 times a day. Provided of course we are running said program….
The attacks are bots related and are not real people. So they are still at the stupid stage and not at all professional hacker grade yet….

Q: How Do I Know If It Is a Bot Attack ?
A: You get a friend add request with a 4 letter name and with 4 or more numbers in the MSN name such as Len23456766@hotmail.com
——————-
Q: What Should I Do If I Get A Request In The Above Format ?
A: First off decline there invitation , then block them..and if you are so inclined report them to Microsoft..but that does not do much….

Q: Should I Change My Password ?
A: First thing, that is up to you. But I personally would, if I were in you your shoes and since I was…..I go for it…..
