New Version Of µTorrent (1.8.4) Is Available To Download @ Download.com

It appears that there is a new version of µTorrent peer 2 peer file sharing program available to download via my favorite safe download source @ download.com. Yes, I know I already posted this a few moments ago. But the main reason is because there are 2 different type of people reading my blog. The people that want the official source via µTorrent home page which is http://www.utorrent.com/ …Then there are the readers that just want the download and don’t care were they get in from provided it is safe and from a trusted website and thous I use download.com for most if not all my downloads and posts, When there are updates I update via both sources. A: First off  I do admit i-say does seem like rather poor quality survey site at the moment. But that does not make Ipsos i-say survey panel a scam. There is a major lack of surveys for more then a few months now. But Ipsos i-say panel as far as I am concerned has yet to reach the definition of a scam survey site. But I will keep you guys posted…if they do…..

This new version of AVG Free Anti-Virus is only available Via Automatic or Manual Update. But when the new version is available @ download.com. I’ll let you guys know………….

AVG Free Anti-Virus 8.5/9.0 Will Not Scan

Along with a lot of other AVG 8.5/9.0 issues that I have received. I have also received a lot of e-mails regarding the fact that people just can’t run an AVG scan at all. So this is what I am saying to these people just follow these simple steps and AVG Free Anti-Virus 8.5/9.0 should work and don’t worry it is a lot less clear and I’m almost ready top say way too over complicated to run the new AVG 8.5/9.0 Free Anti-Virus edition. So no worries BEFORE SCANNING YOU SHOULD TRY TO UPDATE THE VIRUS DEFINITIONS FIRST.

Instructions On How To Update Your Virus Definitions

1. Right click with the mouse on the AVG task bar icon it is Yellow, Blue, Green and Red.

2. Then choose the second option that says UPDATE NOW. It should load up in a pretty short time. But if it says can not connect or connection failure. Then just close any other programs connected to the Internet and then try again..

Instructions On How To Scan Using AVG  Free Anti-Virus 8.5/9.0

1. First Right click with the mouse on the task bar icon

2. Select the bold face option OPEN AVG USER INTERFACE

3. AVG should open the main window….

4. Then choose the second option COMPUTER SCANNER it has a Magnifying Glass as the icon in front…

5. Once the menu appears there are two computer icons one on the left that says SCAN WHOLE COMPUTER. Then there is lower case blue writing underneath the SCAN WHOLE COMPUTER. Click on that and it will bring you to Options.

6. Leave everything checked and make sure that underneath it says AUTOMATIC SCAN IN THE SCAN PRIORITY BAR

7. Then on the bottom right select the first button that says START SCAN. This will start a regular system scan most computers will take between 30 mins- 5 hours or more and don’t be surprised if your computer will not run right and or really slow or will not connect to the Internet..

TO RUN A SCAN ON ANOTHER DRIVE:

1. Follow same steps 1,2,3

2. But this time choose the blue writing underneath the right most icon it looks like a file folder in a stand

3. Click on the blue righting and it will bring you to a menu

4. Choose all the options other then the one that says SCAN SYSTEM ENVIRONMENT… You don’t need that one…It should only be used for your main drives

5. The Scan priority should be on Automatic scan…

6. Click the first button on the bottom right that says.. NEXT

7. Choose your drive by check marking it then…Press START SCAN

There you go people a step by step guide to AVG 8.5/9.0 FREE ANTI-VIRUS SOFTWARE…

Q+A: I Can’t Install/Un-install AVG 8.5/9.0 ? What Should I Do ?

Alright people I know that this is pretty much an the same post as I did for my first 2.0 Q+A. BUT I AM STILL GETTING PEOPLE ASKING ME HOW. YOU SHOULD ALWAYS TRY THE REPAIR OPTION FIRST as your first step if AVG is not working the way it is suppose to.

Q: I Can’t Install/Un-install AVG 8.5/9.0? What Should I Do?

A: First off, You should always download the newest version of AVG from -http://free.avg.com/ww-en/download?prd=afg#tba2- or www.download.com, which I often find is a much  better choice.

First off try the old stand by AVG ‘Repair‘ option which you can choose during the installation process. Of course to do that you need a non-corrupted version of AVG Free install file.. I would highly recommend using the latest 9.0.730 install file….

A. Download & save the latest AVG Free installation package from this link -http://free.avg.com/ww-en/download?prd=afg#tba2- or you could use the slightly older version via my favorite source download.com

B. Run the AVG Free install file

C. Choose the Repair option and follow the setup wizard

D. Restart your computer then test

Download the install file to your DESKTOP…

WARNING: Do not ever try to run AVG install file from the Internet as that will always cause issues. THANKS TO AVG FREE FORUM FOR THOSE WORDS OF WISDOM

If the AVG installation fails to work….your gonna need to check to see if your file is corrupted

Now to check if your AVG install File is corrupted….By using the version 9.0.730 install file….

A. Download & save the latest AVG Free installation package from this link -http://free.avg.com/ww-en/download?prd=afg#tba2- or you could use my favorite source download.com

B. Run the AVG Free install file

C. Choose the Un-install option and follow the setup wizard, when you get to the part to remove user settings, select it.

D. Restart your computer then…

E. Now reinstall AVG using the setup file you got in step 1 and update.

PLEASE disable the other protection programs before you start the AVG installation process as they can prevent AVG Free from installing properly

Types of protection this covers are:

- Spyware/Adware (Example: Windows defender, Spybot)

- Anti-virus (Example: Avira, Avast )

- Firewalls (Example: Zone Alarm, Window’s Firewall)

Q+A: How Do I Find The AVG 8.5/9.0 Free Anti-Virus “Virus Vault” ?

People have been asking me how to find the AVG Free Virus Vault in version 8.5/9.0 and when they do how to delete the items from it. So here are the steps.

Follow these steps to find the Virus Vault:

1. Open AVG with right click of the mouse..on tray icon

2. Select open AVG USER INTERFACE

3. Select second option COMPUTER SCANNER

4. Go down to the bottom..there should be a option called VIRUS VAULT…it is the one on the far RIGHT

5. Click on it

6. The VIRUS VAULT option should be highlighted in DARK BLUE

7. Then click on the Virus you want deleted..then select the option you want…

8. Click one of the following options…..

RESTORE: To send the file back to your computer..BECAUSE it is not a virus

DELETE: To remove the virus forever

RE-SCAN: To see if the Virus comes up again after you deleted it

SEND TO ANALYSIS: File is sent to AVG/Grisoft..to find a way to deal with it..really no real use…Unless it is a brand new virus..or there is no fix available..on the net

EMPTY VAULT: To get rid of everything in the Virus Vault

Q: Do you have to un-install AVG Free anti-virus 8.5. Before installing the new (9.0.730) update ?

A: No you don’t have to but,  I would highly recommend removing the full AVG Free Anti-Virus 8.5. Then re-start your computer and install the newest available version to download which currently is (9.0.730) available @ download.com

EXTRA INFO: The newest version of AVG Free Anti-Virus is (9.0.733). But that version of AVG Free Anti-Virus is not available for download yet via AVG or downloads.com
