Here is my Review is on IObit Security 360…ENJOY

———————————————

AA. Cost: Free – But for further protection there is an paid upgrade option

BB. Is it worth that cost ?: Yes…100% worth your time and effort

1. Ease of useMedium difficulty – Right from the start to the end of installation. Security 360 guides you the whole way telling you with words and pop-ups to update or even run certain scans. But there are a lot of options that may feel overwhelming at first

1a. Interface - A dark over all look makes all the icons and buttons pop.The Whole interface is very easy to see all your options and very pleasant on the eyes  as well.

2. Quality of ScanRather good – I was not WOW”ed by the scan..but I was pleasantly surprised what it picked up mainly the amount of INTERNET COOKIES and PRIVACY DATA that a normal computer user would normally ignore or not even be aware of it being a privacy issue.

3. UpdatingPretty Fast – Ok it might update fast…But I had off the start to times I had to re-stat my computer due to updates which I don’t normally see more then one computer Re-stat needed.

4. Can you run other programs during the scan ? Yes, but you may have some serious lag depending on the other program or programs you are running.

4a. Can you run programs during update ? Yes

5. Is there a progress bar? Yes,progress bar…(But a % complete would be nice to see in future updates)

6. Can you leave it running and it will run with out issue ? Yes…you can no doubt

7. Is there adware or Spyware bundled with it ? There is a Toolbar bundled with it but you can choose not to install it

8. Will it scan archive files ? Not sure if IObit does scan archive files….

9. Is it stable ? Very stable…but be aware it does seem to as you to re-start your computer a lot

10. How long do scans take ? Takes a while depending on scan option and depth of scan and number of drives average 3 mins – 45 mins.

Overall score 3.5 out of 5 – This program is a must for anyone worried about there privacy. I would not say this program covers you on all fronts of security issues. But it does a really great job of covering your tracks both on the Internet and basic everyday computer use. So if the computer is a shared family computer. That you don’t want the other user of the computer to know what you have done or have sensitive data on your computer. That you don’t want compromised and you are ok with erasing the data and only want to cover only the top layer of your action on your PC “This program is for you.”

Con’s

- Did ask me to re-start my computer 3 times after installations (A little bit much if you ask me)

- Erasing some of the perceived threats could cause damage to your computer (or loss of function of certain programs)

- Most options will cause computer slowdown and lag

- Crazy CPU usage when scanning

- A lot of people will not know what to do with the scan reports or detected threats

- Seems way more complicated then needed

- Scans that claim 100% complete but are not actually in reality not really finished at all

- You can’t help to feel you are missing out on somethings being asked to update for full protection

Pro’s

- Scans are pretty fast

- Has a lot of options

- Fast Updating

- Real time protection

- A section on the right side of the interface to search for information on spyware and viruses

- Is a great all in one privacy protector as well as spyware, adware, trojans, keyloggers, bots, worms, and hijackers.

- Lots of customization

- Will pick up things you never even know you had issue with in the first place
