People, just do the following and your Firefox should work like a charm…
1. Open Firefox any version
2. Go to TOOLS
3. Click on Add-ons
4. Then Extenuations
5. Click on AVG Safe Search
6. Disable
7. It will ask you to re-start your browser (Well Do so)
8. Do above again to check to see if any other AVG component are enabled like AVG Link Scanner
9. If active, disable, then re-start browser
10. You should be good

Already done this but still does not work properly….opens some web sites but on others just hangs…only way to get such a page to load is to stop and then reload the page…just a pain….uninstall AVG is the best answer and go elsewhere.
Dear Technogiant,
Your not the first person to have done just that and leave AVG. I personal have had my moments where I just said “Ohhh forget it not worth the extra time and effort.” But then I would not be the expert at Virus programs that i am today…nor would I be able to try to find solutions to help people such as you. Oh I agree with you….but I will employ the wait and see approach other then the pull the roots out quick. Mainly becuase of my above reason….
Thanks for the comment,
Remy “Se7en”
