Here is my full review of Comic Collector 4.4.1 Pro ….enjoy becuase I don’t normally do this type of review. But since it is a really awesome program…I’ll give it my full review treatment ….
AA. Cost: $ 39.95 USD
BB. Is it worth that cost ?: Yes, but only if you own a comic store or have a large comic book collection
1. Ease of use – Super simple (Can’t get any easier to use then this program unless it could read your mind)
2. Interface - Actually very very complicated. I had to refer back to the instructions and FAQ more then a few times…
3. Quality of program – Extremely efficient and accurate
4. Speed of adding new comics – Super fast maybe tops less then a minute
5. Ease Of Understanding The Stats Report: Actually pretty hard or not really useful. Unless you are looking for number of comics owned or lent out.
6. Updating – If there is an update…it does it super fast
7. Can you run other programs while Comic Collector is running ? Yes
8. Can you run programs during update ? Yes
9. Is there any problems or down sides? Yes, it is really really slow when you first load up the program everytime
10. Can you leave it running and it will run with out issue ? Yes
11. Is there adware or Spyware bundled with it ? nope, not that I saw
12. Is it stable ? Yes, very much so
Overall a 3.5 out of 5 stars – there are of course the rare comic that you will not find..but very RARE. The main interface is over complicated at least for me..a first time user and with this version it adds i-pod support and such XML support as well. Which is great if you have a treble memory like myself…
EXTRA INFO: This program has a site that is connects to to update new comic book covers and titles. Ity looks great..but I had some issues understating some of the extras I got with the full version.
