Firefox is great for all things — EXCEPT online bill paying. I am unable to pay my bills online through my credit union using Firefox 3.0.8. This is something of a known issue with Mozilla. Their recommendation is, believe it or not, to use IE until this issue has been sorted out.
I signed up with my credit union’s bill payer system jsut fine, but Firefox crashed every time I added a bill to pay. Yesterday, I was unable to pay any bills because the browser kept crashing. There are no issues that my CU knows about. I called them. They recommend and say they support Firefox. I think IT has not yet gotten around to making their site Firefox-enabled.
Again, if you have problems paying bills online using Firefox, then use IE. I did so this morning and had no problems.
Stupid as it seems, IE rules in this area right now.
Dear Craig,
Oh really, I had no idea about the Online bill payment issue…I like the speed and look of FireFox 3….
every time I go back to IE…IT seems to take forever to load…any old website…even with IE 8..
Thanks for the comment,
