AVG Free Anti-Virus 8.0.233 has failed yet again the Adware/Spyware Detection Test

It appears that AVG Free 8.0.233 has failed yet another test..just as I was getting my hopes up..it failed..really badly…the ADware /Spyware test..is missed all the main staples like 180souloutiosn, Zango, Weather bug…

Very disappointed….to bad..well till the next test…

THE FOLLOWING ARE TEST THAT HAVE BEEN DONE AND THE CURRENT RESULTS….

- Internet Browser Cookie detection and removal test – Passed

- Residential shield test – Failed

-  Spyware/Adware – Failed

- Vista / Xp Virus detection rate test – Not Complete yet

-  Link scanner – Not Complete yet

-  e-mail scanner – Not Complete yet

New AVG Free 8.0.233 Fails Residential shield test yet again

Dear Reader,

It appears that AVG Free 8.0.233 new update fails the residential shield test yet again…it seem to pick up viruses after it has already infected your computer….sometimes it takes 2 or even 3 scans to pick up said virus..but AVAST , AVIRA will pick it up in right away or even…something like 30mins after the fact..but still it will not have infected your PC yet…

Too bad….AVG 8.0.233 was doing so well…hopefully the next test AVG Free passes…

Skype 4.0 – Freeware Review

Dear Readers,

Ok, so I just installed the newest version of Skype 4.0

AA. Cost: FREE

1. Ease of use – a little more complicated then the last version

1a. Interface - There is a lot more here….thus can get a little confusing at first…

2. Quality Program – It has improved by leaps and bounds..video calls are well done and a lot of Web cames are actually cleaned up..with out doing anything on the users end….

3. Speed of Sign in – Very very quick…..faster even then MSN/Windows Live Message…hard to believe..but very true…

4. Can you run other programs while running Skype ? Yes

5. Can you leave it running and it will run with out issue ? Yes

6. Is there adware or Spyware bundled with it ? Nope not that I can see

7. Is it stable ? very Stable…it gets more stable the better your internet connection you have

Over all a 4 out of 5 stars- Some are gonna love it to death..with all the new features..while other are gonna ask WTF…why all the new more complicated interface….

SpeedFan 4.37 – Freeware Review

Hey all the new version of  SpeedFan is out….so here is my Review (Yes ppl, I know it has been out for awhile now…but I have been really busy..)

What does it do? It monitors your CPU, Mother Board and Hard-drive and internal fans and gives you a temperature read out..in your system tray..so you can tell how hot your computer is running to prevent damage and improve over all system performance

2. Ease of use – Easy - This is very easy to use because you install it and it is ready to go…in most cases it does auto-detect…there has not been any computer I installed it on that did not work

3. Interface -Very Very simple…it has tabs on top..that is pretty much it..it is not fancy..but in this case that is how you want it…

4. Can you leave it running and it will run with out issue ? Yes…you can no doubt

5. Is there adware or Spyware bundled with it ? A big NO

6. Is it stable ? Very stable

Over all a 4 out of 5 stars – This new version is a whole lot better then the last version..just based on the fact it reads a lot more computers now..and is really accurate…

Blog Update #46 – Looking Into The New AVG Free 8.0.233

Dear Reader,

It appears that the first test I ran on AVG Free 8.0.233 passed…wow I was not expecting that …but now that is has I am going to run ever test I can think of to prove that is was not a false positive and it is indeed stable and back to the old AVG standards….WE CAN ONLY HOPE!!!

I would also like to thank you guys my blog numbers have almost tripled over the past 2 weeks..which is really kicking..

Like I said I am going to be running the following test on the NEW AVG 8.0.233:

- Residential shield test

-  Spyware/Adware

- Vista / Xp Virus detection rate test

New AVG Free 8.0.233 Passes Internet Browser Cookie Test With Flying Colours

Dear Reader,

It appears that the new Patch/ Updated for AVG Free 8.0.233 has passed my first test with flying colours…the test being the Internet cookies test…it picked up every cookie..on both XP and Vista computers I tried it on…

including..my major issue with Google’s main stay cookies..called Webtrends. Good job AVG/Girsoft…the last time you guys past this test was way back in your 7.0/7.5 AVG days…Finally I can say you are heading in the right direction…
