It appears that AVG Free 8.0.233 has failed yet another test..just as I was getting my hopes up..it failed..really badly…the ADware /Spyware test..is missed all the main staples like 180souloutiosn, Zango, Weather bug…
Very disappointed….to bad..well till the next test…
THE FOLLOWING ARE TEST THAT HAVE BEEN DONE AND THE CURRENT RESULTS….
- Internet Browser Cookie detection and removal test – Passed
- Residential shield test – Failed
- Spyware/Adware – Failed
- Vista / Xp Virus detection rate test – Not Complete yet
- Link scanner – Not Complete yet
- e-mail scanner – Not Complete yet

Dear pochp,
the only reason AVG is said to be the best..is only based on number of downloads that is it..in most cases..and if ppl were like me..and loved AVG free 7.0 or 7.5..I would be inclined to download the newest version…feeling there would be improvements and not..going backwards in software evolution…

Yes I feel at times Microsoft is going backwards….but I feels AVG/Grisoft is more the one going backwards…
And no I have not checked out TTC Shelbyville techblog…
