Limewire’s new version is infested with Viruses….

Dear Readers,

Well it appears..even the new version of LimeWire..has major virus issue…the first 3 MP3 format files I downloaded ..where infected with a codec virus..where it will make your K-lite or other codec packs become very un-stable….and no longer work..requiring you to re-install…said pack…or in the late stages of virus infection will cause..other programs like MSN to be re-installed…

I would say….Limewire has it’s place..but..it has out lived it usefulness..for the time being..torrents are way safer..and I have only had a handful of virus from any torrent site…

AVG Free Anti-Virus Seems To Now Only Work Part Time On XP With Service Pack 3 Installed

It appears that the new AVG update 8.0.237 has addresses the Windows XP service pack 3 compatibility at least partly…because I have just a little bit more then half of my clients claiming rightfully that XP service pack 3…will now let them install AVG new update with out issue…

Good work AVG/Grisoft…for making a patch that at least partly address the Service pack 3 issue..

BB. Is it worth that cost ?: Nope..there are a lot of freeware calculators out there

1. Ease of use – Super Easy – imagine virtual version of a calculator…there ya go..ohhh only with tabs…

1a. Interface - Very easy and simple to use…everything is simple and pretty much one button activation

2. Quality of Program – Very good and stable…

3. Updating – not applicable…

4. Can you run other programs while running this program  ? Yes

5. Can you leave it running and it will run with out issue ? Yes

6. Is there adware or Spyware bundled with it ? Nope

7. Is it stable ? Yes, 100%

Over all a 3.5 out of 5 stars- Great..but there are hundreds if not thousands of freeware…Calculators out there..no need to buy this one for over $ 20 USD

So welcome everyone…this is my second new gen P2P software review…..Enjoy :)

Con’s

- full of viruses (not even easy to pick up till it is to late….)

- New search engine is a lot lot harder to use and find files..compared to version 4

- Drastically reduced download speed….compared to PRO

- Sources are drastically reduced in this version…but that is to be expected

-  Can be major ram hog

- Not very effective to download more then 4 songs at a time

- Pretty much every search will end up with both junk files and porn like titles

Pro’s

- Free

- Can find pretty much song you could ever want

- Has No social networking integrated (Thank G-D hard to find these dayz)

Over all I give this a 2.5 out of 5 – You can find new music no problem..older songs or files maybe an issue..and that is when I would choose another method as well as this is virus central you don’t know what you are doing..AVOID…

2. Quality of scan – Super fast…and super accurate..when any of the scan options are used…

3. Updating – Super Fast

4. Can you run other programs during the scans or repairing ? Yes

4a. Can you run programs during update ? Yes

5. Is there a progress bar or % done? Yes, in most cases

6. Can you leave it running and it will run with out issue ? Yes

7. Is there adware or Spyware bundled with it ? Nope

8. Will it scan archive files ? N/A

9. Is it stable ? Yes, 100%

10. How long do scans take ? Super fast

Over all a 4 out of 5 stars- This program loses one whole point..because it can damage your computer…a lot if you don’t know what you are doing….

Extra info: This program works better on Vista….

1. Ease of use – very very simple….

2. Quality of scan – very very good and also very fast but accurate

2A. Speed of Scan – This is by far the fastest defrag program I HAVE EVER SEEN

3. Updating – there is an update feature…

4. Can you run other programs during the scan ? Yes

4a. Can you run programs during update ? Yes

5. Is there a progress bar? yes

6. Can you leave it running and it will run with out issue ? Yes

7. Is there adware or Spyware bundled with it ? nope, not that I saw

8. Is it stable ? Yes

10. How long do scans take ? less then an hour in most cases

Over all a 4 out of 5 stars – Other then the ads to buy Auslogic BoostSpeed…it is spot on..I would for sure recommend this more them any other disk defrag program…and for sure better then..the basic VISTA defrag program

BB. Is it worth that cost ?: Nope not really…there are better programs out there

1. Ease of use – just click and go..I would advise if you do use this program to..do the analyze first before defrag…

1a. Interface - Not pretty but it works for what it needs to be used for…very grey

2. Quality of scan – Very very good

2A. Speed of Scan – This is by far the slowest defrag program I HAVE EVER SEEN

3. Updating – Have not had to update yet….

4. Can you run other programs during the scan ? Yes

4a. Can you run programs during update ? not sure

5. Is there a progress bar? yes a progress bar

6. Can you leave it running and it will run with out issue ? Yes

7. Is there adware or Spyware bundled with it ? nope not that I saw

8. Is it stable ? Yes

10. How long do scans take ? the first time you run it..could take a few hours….after that cut the time in half…

Over all a 3.5 out of 5 stars – Auslogic disk defrag program is way faster and better…but this does not bug you to buy another program..like Auslogic does…this program is very slow…..but anything is better then the built in VISTA defrag program….even this one..I just prefer Auslogic..program…because of the speed….and a lot less CPU and paging file use..
