Ad-Aware Anniversary Edition 8.0 – Freeware Review

Here is my full review on the New Ad-Aware Anniversary Edition 8.0….enjoy

BB. Is it worth that cost ?: Ya sort of

1. Ease of use – Easy – it has very large icons..to guide you…

1a. Interface - Pretty easy and simple to use

2. Quality of scan – Pretty good detection rate

2A. Speed of Scan – way way too slow

3. Updating – no slow and not really fast…..

4. Can you run other programs during the scan ? Yes…but sometimes, it will cause to crash…

4a. Can you run programs during update ? Yes

5. Is there a progress bar? No

6. Can you leave it running and it will run with out issue ? Yes…in most cases

7. Is there adware or Spyware bundled with it ? yes…some adware/spyware was picked up….still not able to verify this…

8. Will it scan archive files ? Not sure

9. Is it stable ? sometimes it will glitch out….and then you wil not be able to go back to the main scan..very strange

10. How long do scans take ? 15 mins – 3 hrs

Over all a 3.5 out of 5 stars – This program needs a lot of work still….there are some major scanning issues…that can cause you to think the scan has finished..or program will just crash..and you don’t even know of that fact….
