AVG Free Anti-Virus Will Not Automatic Scan Archive Files

This issues took me a lot of scans to figure out. It seems that the manual scan will not scan inside Archive files and I’m not talking about encrypted or password protected ones ether. From my tests it is very clear that automatic scan does not even touch these files.

I figured it out by running AVAST and AVIRA Free each 3x. Then waiting 3 days for AVG Free to do 3 full Automatic scan and compare every aspect of the 3 scans and I found not only did AVG not touch the archive files it also missed the virus I put there on purpose hidden inside archive file.

Fix: Scan manually even thou there is not proof from my test that AVG will pick up anything even after scanning the same infected area as AVAST or AVIRA that is infected by a Virus.
