Dear Readers,

This is mainly an issue with older DELL SYSTEMS and with computers who have already corrupted or un-stable registries

It is official AVG 8.0/8.5 is so unstable that installing it in many computers will in a rather short period of time cause THE BLUE SCREEN OF DEATH. I’ve had about 2900 complaints so far most are DELL computers and in most cases. The computers need a complete re-formatting of the main hard drive. The main reason being there is an unstable part of code. That even in my computers reads as a series of serious REGISTRY ERROR in the START_UP registry section if you are running PC Tools: Desktop Maestro or PC Tools: Desktop Mechanic. That for what ever reason it reads as a WORD START_UP FILE error. But I’ve seen it read as quite a few different programs.

Fix 1: Un-install AVG any version and install AVIRA or another one like it. You should do this for sure, if you are running a DELL SYSTEM…..

Fix 2: USE newest version of file of AVG (8.5.374) it should fix the issue of the BSOD.

Extra info: If you have your system files set on hide it will not show so far there are 5 separate registry CORRUPTIONS..caused that are caused after 12hr to 24hr time period after AVG 8.0/8.5 is installed on your computer and is restarted. TRUST ME ON THIS ONE I’VE TIMED IT. Something like 12hrs and 12min after fresh installation of AVG 8.0/8.5 from an unstable source website and about 2 re-starts after AVG 8.0/8.5 is installed from a CNET’s download.com website.

Hope this helps,
