This issue was a real migraine for me. Both me and the rest of my team just could not figure it out. So here is what was happening….
AVG 8.0/8.5 free anti-virus will detect Mozilla FireFox 3.0/3.5 Internet cookies but for some reason will not delete them. B will however detect and delete Internet Explorer Internet cookies. But of course that is only a ISSUE IF AVG 8.0/8.5 WORKS FOR YOU…
The Fix: Delete the FireFox cookies thought Mozilla FireFox 3.0/3.5 with the following steps:
1. Tools
2. Then to the PRIVACY TAB
3. go to the Cookies heading the 3rd one down
4. click on show cookies
5. Choose Remove all cookies or remove cookie just to remove one cookie….
6. Your done, cookies should be gone….
As for the Internet Explorer cookies AVG 8.0/8.5 will get rid of them generally with no problem. Just make sure that you go to the virus vault to get ride of the ones AVG 8.0/8.5 thinks are EVIL or bad and remove them. Then you should be free and clear….
